SUSPECTED CASE OF POLIOMYELITIS
A boy from the Kaikoura district, suspected to be suffering from poliomyelitis. was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital late on Friday afternoon. Hospital doctors will not know till this morning whether the case is positive. The Medical Officer of Health in Christchurch (Dr. A. Douglas) said last night that only seven cases of poliomyelitis had been reported in the Canterbury health district in the last five or six months. f
