Advice has been received by the New Zealand Post Office that 210 bags of ordinary mail and 171 bags of parcels, nil United States and Canadian mail, which are being carried in the Oronsay, will not arrive in New Zealand for about two weeks. The Oronsay was to come to Auckland, but has been diverted to Suva.. and as there is no better connexion from there, the mail will be left on the Oronsay until she arrives at Sydney, where ‘it will be transferred to the Monowai. The Monowai will leave Sydney for Auckland on January 13.
