Mobile Library.— A librarian i n a chauffeur-driven saloon car is to call on the old people of Southwark, London. once a fortnight, to bring them books, according to the “Evening Standard.” The newspaper said this service would cost the ratepayers 10s an hour, or Is a mile.—London, January 6.
