Party Coming To N.Z. From Noumea

A Douglas airliner of Tasman AirJ? as b een chartered by the Federation des Oeuvres de I’Ecole Publique. of Noumea, a student organisation, to make two flights between New Caledonia and New Zealand this month. Fifty-five students will fly to .Auckland and spend a fortnight sightseeing in New Zealand. They will arrive in Auckland on January 16, and will tour New Zealand in two groups. The distance between Auckland and Noumea is 1120 statute miles, and between Christchurch and Noumea 1623 miles.

U NT ing U? e Present school holidays, 200 New Zealand children are visiting Australia, and 250 Australians are visiting New Zealand. Both visits are under the auspices of the Young Australia League. Tasman Airways estimates that, these organised groups, a further 2ao school children will have flown to and from New Zealand between December 15 and February 15. The Young Australia League is now proposing a larger interchange of children of the two countries next Christmas.
