THE WEATHER FORECASTS
Sir, —When the radio announces four times a day, “This is the Weather Office.'’ most people must be extraordinarily optimistic if they imagine they are going to hear an accurate lorecast of the weather. The Government Meteorological Department presumably does very useful work, but forecasting the weather is obviously rather a weakness. It may be, of course, that I happen to live in a district where it is exceptionally difficult to’ foretell the future. It would b€- very interesting to hear the opinions of some of your readers on this subject, provided they can express themselves in parliamentary language. —Yours, etc.,
FORBES WALLACE. Springbank, January 5. 1956.
