CONWAY FLAT GYMKHANA

ANNUAL EVENT HELD IN FINE WEATHER

The annual Conway Flat gymkhana in aid of school and hall funds was held on “Lagoon Flat.” Claverley, the property of Mr A. B. Anderson, on Saturday, in fine weather.

In the horse events, the open jump, under international rules, was won byMiss Virginia Mair (Christchurch), and a pony international jumping competition by Miss J. McKee (Cheviot). Special prize winners in the horse events were as follows:—Conway Flat Challenge Cup (most points): Mrs F. F. Wilding and J. J. Smith, TO points (equal) 1. Under 15 years challenge cup (most points): Miss J. McKee, 23 points. Special lor best child rider (Mr George King's trophy): Mary Scott (Kaikoura). Bust shepherd's hack (trophy presented by Mr Arnott Anderson, “Galimera," Hundalee): E. A. Anderson.

__ T, ’je judge for the horse events was Mr Tim Rutherford (Hamner). The commentator (Mr Godfrey Westenra) kept a good crowd well informed and entertained throughout a long programme. Results Were as follows:
