F. W. KENNEDY REFUSED LICENCE BY A.J.C.
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) . _ SYDNEY, December 26. A Queensland trainer, F. W. Kennedy, h3s been refused a licence to train horses in Sydney. Making this announcement, the Australian Jockey Club said it would permit him to train as a visitor. The committee’s report said it felt obliged, under rules governing reciprocity among principal Australian clubs, to allow Kennedy the right to train as a visitor. Kennedy, with a New Zealand ownertrainer. G. J. Christmas, and the jockey, A. Markland, appeared before the A.J.C. committee in August at an inquiry into a battery training saddle. At the end of the case Kennedy’s permit was revoked. Subsequently, Kennedy was given a clearance by the A.J.C., which permitted him to race horses in Queensland. The A.J.C. committee found that charges of improper conduct against Kennedy, Markland, and Christmas were not proved.
