THEFT OF TREES FROM VICTORIA PARK

A £lO reward has been offered by the City Council for information leading to the conviction of persons who chopped down two picea trees in Victoria Park, presumably for use as Christmas trees.

Mr H. G. Gilpin, superintendent of parks and reserves, said that the trees were beautiful specimens. He had not had reported to him any other cases of theft of trees from council property. •
