P. THOMSON’S RECORD SCORE IN TOURNEY

Thirty-nine birdies in 72 holes established for Peter Thomson an Australian record of 262 for four rounds in an invitation tournament at Patterson River yesterday. Thomson won the tournament by nine strokes from Ossie Pickworth (271) and Norman von Nida (284).
