Over the years Hay’s Roof has bean tho stago for many memorable entertainments, but here for their 26th Christmas "The People's Store" - brings the "Show of Shows! " CAPTAIN RAVILLg AND HIS PERFORMING AFRICAN LIONS. The majestic animals will daily be put through their paces by their daring trainer in 8 full quarter-hour displays and because of anticipated record crowds parents of pre-school children and all who can are urged to come next week if possible, prior to schools breaking-up. The Lions will perform on the new roof Entrance by China Department tickets will be on sale at foot of stairs and performances will commence each day at 10, 10.45, 11.30 a.m., 12.30, 1.30, 2.30, 3.15 and : 4 p.m., and also Friday nights at 7, 7.30 and 8 p.m. A special Christmas price of only 6d for Children and I/- for Adults will be charged, which includes a visit to Father Xmas and all the other holiday fun on the adjoining roof after the show. From Monday too, Santa will be at Hay's Sydenham Store together with the wonderful Helicopter which will be making "day-long" flights providing younger people with a memorable thrill.
