FRIDAY (Before Mr Rex C. Abernethy, S.M.) REMANDED Alexander Alan Hamilton, aged 25. a painter, James Robert Cook, aged 23, a carpenter, Malcolm Wynne Rollo, aged 24, a labourer, and Terence William Philip Pennell, aged 27, a labourer, were jointly charged with being rogues and vagabonds in that they had in their possession without lawful excuse implements of housebreaking—gelignite, fuse, jemmy and rubber gloves. On the application of DetectiveSergeant E. G. Ward accused were remanded to Monday. Bail for Hamilton being renewed. Verdun Clive Thompson, aged 30, a deer-culler, was remanded to Thursday on a charge of being under the influence of liquor when in charge of a motor-car in Cashel street on December 2. Bail was allowed in the sum of £25 and one surety of £25. Charged with being under the influence of liquor or drugs when in charge of a car in Kingsley street on December 2. Charles Geoffrey Waters, aged 34, a photographer, was remanded to Tuesday. Bail was allowed in the sum of £25 and one surety of £25. TRAFFIC BREACHES Offenders against the traffic regulations prosecuted by the Police were dealt with as follows: Failing to give way: Bruce Clements Boland. £5; Alfred Walter Ball, £5; Raymond William Jelfs, £5; Claude Sutton Manners, £5; Reginald Edward Lewis, £4; Alister Joseph Andrew West. £4; Paul Sylvester Raynish, £5. Driving without due care and attention: Bert Frank Graham, £2: I.oil William Dreaver, £4; Nole Carter, £5. A charge against Gerhen Antonius de Jong was dismissed. Failing to notify change of ownership of motor-cycle: David Mackie, £4. No driver’s licence: Warren Martin, £2 (no warrant of fitness, £1). Driving without due consideration: Alfred Richard Mayne, £5. Double parking: Allan Campbell McPherson, 20s (no warrant of fitness, 20s). Driving vehicle other than specified on licence: Ivan Pullan, £2 (unlicensed vehicle, £3). No warrant of fitness: Alfred James Smith, 20s: Eric James Swanston, 20s.
