ROAD COURTESY

Sir, —During the week-end, we were travelling on the Main South road coming from Timaru, when an up-to-date car, with three male and three female passengers, decided to play games of slowing us up and then passing us at high speed after we had no option but to pass them m lowest gear. This continued for some time, the occupants of the new vehicle frantically waving each time they drew in front to slow us up. We eventually pulled in to the side of the road for half an hour to allow them to get out of harm’s way. Such behaviour from so-called intelligent people is beyond comprehension. I wonder if they would like the registered number of their car printed m “The Press.”—Yours, etc., x L PASSENGER. October 27, 1955.
