BEST SO FAR
For every 10 men employed on the average large farm in Britain, there was only one in New Zealand, said Mr E. H. Denize, leader of a group of New Zealand young farmers touring Britain earlier this vear, reports the “Farmer and Stockbreeder.” The party visited Messrs Brookes Bros.’ Rhewl Farm, White Rose, Rhyl, Wales, which they thought was the best they had seen so far after a tour of France, Holland, Switzerland and Denmark. Before they left New Zealand, the young farmers were firmly convinced that their native land led the world in mechanical achievement in farming. They were now doubtful about this and thought rather that Britain was “catching up fast if not overtaking/*
