SATURDAY (Before Messrs R. A. Lulham and A. C. Rhodes, Justices of the Peace.) REMANDED Richard Stanley Wratten, aaed 33, a labourer, was remanded to October 13, on a charge of breaking and entering the office of Amberley Supply Stores, Ltd., on October 7, with intent to commit theft.
A man whose name was ordered not to be published in the meantime, was charged with indecent assault on a male at South Brighton. He was remanded to October 13. Bail was granted at £lOO in his own recognisance, with one surety of £lOO and two of £5O, on condition that he reports to the police daily. Mr N. G. Hattaway, who appeared for the man, said that he seemed to be more in need of psychiatric treatment than punishment. Publica-
tion of his name might be detrimental to any course of treatment the Court might later consider advisable. Royston Dean Samuel Sutton, aged 33. a labourer, was remanded until today on a charge that he indecently assaulted an eight-year-old girl. He was granted bail in his own recognisance of £5O, with one surety of £5O, on condition that he reports to the police daily. Alan Gerald Smith, aged 22, a carpenter, was remanded to October 13, on a charge of wilful obscene exposure in Curletts road. Bail was granted of £5O in his own recognisance, and one surety of £5O, on condition that he reports to the police daily. Peter Ghermenis, aged 27, a painter, was remanded until Thursday, on a charge that on October 7, he obtained from Geoffrey Milton Parlane groceries and cigarettes to the value of £1 12s 7d by false pretences. He was granted bail of £5O in his own recognisance, and one surety of £5O, on condition that he reports daily to i the police. Wilson Stockdill, aged 30, a bushman, was remanded to October 13, on a charge that on October 7 he drove a motor-car while intoxicated on the
Southbridge main highway. He was granted bail of £25 in his own recognisance, with one surety of £25, on condition that he reports to the police daily. Douglas Golightly, aged 31, a labourer and seaman, was charged with being drunk in Armagh street on October 7, having been twice previously convicted of drunkenness within the last six months. He was also charged with assaulting John Anthony Evans and wilfully damaging Evans’s wrist-watch strap. He was remanded until today. Thomas Edward Wilson, aged 54, e labourer, was remanded to October 13. on a charge of being idle and disorderly in that he had insufficient lawful means of support.
