OBITUARY
MISS K. S. WILLIAMS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 5. Miss Katharine Sybil 0.8. E., matron of the Royal New Zef* lan Air Force Nursing Service in 1945-46, died in Hastings yesterday. Miss Williams, who was born at Ellesmere, Canterbury, in 1894, joined the New Zealand Army Nursing Service in November, 1941. She was seconded to the R.N.ZiA.F. and posted to Harewood as a charge sister. Later she was sister in charge of various Air Force hospitals in New Zealand until she was appointed matron of the R.N.Z.A.F. Nursing Service on February 28, 1945. She was invested with the 0.8. E. in January, 1948, for devotion to duty and for her nursing work.
