PARISH BALL

St. Peter’s Church, Upper Riccarton The third annual bell of SL Peter’s Church. Upp* Riccarton. arranged by a cominittee of repreeentattve* of parish group* with Mr G. W. A. Green as conven*. was held in the tea kiosk at the Riccarton racecouree last evening, by courtesy of the Canlexbuiy Jockey Club. Tte ban has become a special feature of "the social activities of the perish, and more than MO parishioner* and tteir frieeds were received tar the vicar (the Rev. H. G. Norris! and Mrs Norris.

The specially invited guests included tte Dean of Christchurch (the Very Rev. Martin Sullivan) and Mr* Sullivan. the view * SL Jam*'* Church, Low* Riccarton (the Rev. F. L. Allen! and Mrs Allen, and tte secretary of tte Canterbury Jockey Club (Mr F. T. H. Bell) and Mrs BeU. Mrs Norris wore a wine rrd taffeta frock with pale bine sequin embroidery on the bodice, and a stole of pale blue tulle.
