A.A.C. ELECTIONS This statement is published ee behalf of the fellowiey five candidates: F. W. FREEMAN B. J. AGER L. W. BROADHEAD A, S. CREW J. A. PATON and is supported by the following four non-retiring members of the Council: A. R. Bamsdale, C. H. Browne, E. R. Casbolt, G. W. Tench. 1. During the past yaar, under our sponsorship, tho tearoom was reopened after a period of nine years. And wa will continue in this policy of providing increased facilities for members in the club rooms. 2. Week-end road patrols wore extended end petrol staff increased during the past year and we will continue to extend service to members on the roads. 3 We will continue to effect improvements to A.A. camps throughout the Canterbury and West Coast districts and, in particular to proceed with the proposed now ablution block in the Hanmer camp. 4. We will strive, through representations to the directors of the S.I.M.U. Insurance Company or otherwise, to improve both the cover offered to policy-holders and the settlement of members’ claims. 5. We will continue, as last year, to place the onus of management of the association's affairs on the council as a whole and not Vest It in a small executive as hitherto. 6. Lastly, at any early date, we will move an amendment to the Automobile Association (Canterbury) rules restricting the eligibility of councillors of the association to those who do not receive pecuniary gain from the association, directly or Indirectly.
