Wool Values In Australia

(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE. September 14. Relatively few comebacks and crossbreds were offered at today's Melbourne wool sales. Competition was reasonably good, with the demand mainly from Western Europe and Britain with support from Japan and local mills. There was a 95 per cent, clearance of the 11.700 bales offered. Medium to broad quality Merino and heavily faulted skirtings sold at quite 5 per cent, below last week's closing rates. Crossbred prices included: food crossbred eomhing fleece 58's 70jd, 56’s «7d, SO’s 65d.
