CORSO GOODS FOR INDIA

SHIPMENT VALUED AT £3225 The Subadar and the Wairimu left Lyttelton recently, carrying a shipment of CORSO clothing, footwear, educational books, vitamin bi! and medical supplies with a total value of £3225 for distribution in the poorer areas of India and East and West Pakistan. These goods will be distributed by the Y.M.C.A., Cardinal Gracias, the Karachi Social Service Group and the Dacca Emergency Relief Committee. Mainly comprising articles brought in to CORSO offices in Christchurch and Wellington, it will probably be the last shipment to be sent before the big clothing drive in North Canterbury on September 17.
