LINCOLN FARM SOLD FOR £l05 AN ACRE
About 35 persons attended the sale by public auction of 65 acres of mixed grazing and agricultural land at Collins road, Lincoln, yesterday. Bidding opened at £BO an acre, and rose by five bids of £5. The property was sold for £lO5 an acre.
A two-storey house of seven main rooms, a large workshop, granary and storeshed are included in the property, which is subdivided into seven paddocks. Bidding failed to reach the reserve for a three-roomed house, surplus furniture and a car, which were offered at another auction. One bid of £5O was made after an opening bid of £BOO, and the property was passed in at £B5O. The house is at 97 Marriots road, and stands on a section of 39 9-10 perches. __________
