ROLLER SKATING
“MISS NEW ZEALAND” SELECTED (New Zealand Press Association) , XT r, AUCKLAND, August 30. Miss New Zealand Skater” for 1955 is a 20-year-old Aucklander, Miss Eleanor Masterman. She won the title tonight at the opening session of the national roller skating championships. The tournament was opened by the Mayor of Auckland H. Luxford). Miss Masterman was the New Zealand women’s figure skating champion in 1953, and this week is a strong contender for the event and a trip to the United States championships next year.
