INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
Sir,—An enlightened public opinion in international events is essential for the structural development of the United Nations into a supranational organisation. From a forced reappraisal of values, world opinion is recognising future security lies in the mutual maturity of international reconstruction. In this atomic age there is no survival or decisive value in war, much less in its replacement by mass murder with only victims and villians as combatants, and armies in police, civil, and medical roles. The emphasis is on causative morality, and morality is science applied to conduct, its laws based on fundamental principles in Nature. Betrayal by realistic conceptions is possible; to put our Nuremberg at the top of the political chasm is to revise our census-paper ideas of Christian democracy by replacing the destructive "foreign policy” of warsystem with “forward proposals”* of peace-system encouraged by the wealth of creative opportunity it would afford. —Yours, etc., BLUE HORIZON.
