LYTTELTON R.S.A. BALL

The large hall of the Lyttelton Returned Services’ Association was filled on Friday evening, when the association held its first ball. The president (Mr W. J. Helman) and Mrs Helman welcomed the guests, who included the Mayor of Lyttelton (Mr F. G. Briggs) and Mrs Briggs, the president of the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association (Mr G. D. Hathaway) and Mrs Hathaway and the vice-president (Mr S. A. Coleman) and Mrs Coleman.

The success of the ball was attributable largely to the work of the women’s auxiliary of the Lyttelton association and the ball committee, of which Mr G. Duff was secretary.
