ANZUS COUNCIL MEETING

MINISTERS TO CONFER NEXT MONTH MR T. L. MACDONALD TO REPRESENT N.Z. (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 15. The Minister of External Affairs (Mr T. L. Macdonald) announced todav that a meeting of the Anzus Council of Foreign Ministers would be held on September 24, either in Washington or New York. Mr Macdonald said that the meeting would provide a welcome opportunity for Mr Dulles. Mr Casey, and. himself to discuss matters of mutual concern, including recent development^' affecting the situation in the treaty Mr Macdonald added that it had been decided at the first meeting bf the council at Honolulu in 1952, that council should hold a regular meeting once a year. Advantage was being , taken of the fact that Mr Casey ana he would be attending the General Assembly of the United Nations, the next session of which will open on September 20, to hold the forthcoming Anzua discussions.
