MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS ? ■ A follow-up report on 81 children. —two groups—who had been at the | health camp about 18 months ago was § resented for the information of memers at a meeting of the management committee of Glenelg Health Camp. Only one of the children had had an attack of asthma sitice he had returned borne from Glenelg, and many asthmatic children are admitted tp Glenelg. • Another child, a girl, wag reported to be happy and appeared to be in good health, but had lost/weight since letufning home. The report df almost all the others was good, dnd many were excellent. In nearly all cases the improvement made at the camp had been maintained. The matron (Mrs E. Morrison), in her monthly report, said that many of the children entered camp with insufficient clothing, although their parents were all supplied beforehand with a list of requirements.' She said that singlets, jerseys, shirts and small trousers were needed urgently. Both the matron and the head teacher reported that the 42 girls who entered, camp recently had settled down happily and were easy to manage. Mr M. J. Barnett, Director of. Parks and Reserves, had visited Glenelg recently with the grounds sub-commit? tee, and had made a survey of trees and shrubs on the property. He recommended that some old trees should be cut down, and offered to advise on trees and shrubs for replacements. During the months Dr. H. T. Knights, deputy medical officer of health, and Mr Walker, a lecturer at the Teachers’ College, had taken a group of students to Glenelg to learn about th? work being done there. Other visitors had been Mrs M. Hodson and Miss D. Chambers, of England. Mr J. N. Minson was thanked for gifts to the camp grounds.
