Tree Planting Cancelled.—A treeplanting ceremony at Evans Pass, planned by the Summit Road Scenic Society for Saturday afternoon, was cancelled because of bad weather. The trees, which were mostly natives, were bought out of a gift from the late Mrs David Crozier. The president of the society (Mr J. Watling) said that the parks and reserves department will now-plant the trees as they are all laid out ready for planting ana cannot be left anv longer.
