CRICKET NEW ZEALAND TEAM ANNOUNCED

Tour Of Pakistan And India FIVE CANTERBURY PLAYERS INCLUDED Six new internationals are included in the 15 members of the New Zealand cricket team which will tour Pakistan <and India later this year. The names were announced last evening by the chairman of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council (Mr J. L. Kerr). There are five Canterbury players in the team, which will be led by H. B. Cave (Central Districts), with J. R. Reid (Wellington) as vice-captain. The players chosen are: J. C. Alabaster (O.) S. N. McGregor (O.) H. B. Cave (C.D.) T. G. McMahon (W.) J. W. Guy (CD.) A. McK. Moir (O.) < N. S. Harford (C.D.) E. C. Petrie (A.) P. G. Z. Harris (C.) M. B. Poore (C.) J. A. Hayes (C.) J. R. Reid (W.) J. G. Leggat (C.) B. Sutcliffe (O.) A. R. Mac Gibbon (C.) Those new to international cricket are Alabaster, Guy (who has been twelfth man for New Zealand), Harford, Harris, McMahon and Petrie. The manager of the team will be announced later.
