INCREASE IN PROCEEDS FROM APPEAL The cash collection to date this year by the Canterbury CORSO Committee is £l7OO more than proceeds obtained last year. This was reported at the annual meeting of the committee this week. The increase was attributed to the extension of the committee’s district to include Nelson, Marlborough. and Westland. An offer by leading secondary schools to allow the children to knit for CORSO was accepted with thanks, and it was noted that many business houses were now making donations to the organisation. Officers were elected as follows: chairman, Mr Wilfrid Peers: vicechairman, Mr E. C. Munt; honorary treasurer. Mr A. M. Wilkinson; honorary secretary, Miss H. Aldred; tive. Dr. A. L. Sutherland, Mrs R; Wornal, Mrs G. M. Davis and Mr K. T. Sugden.
