British Protest To Formosa
(Rec. 11 p.m.) TAIPEH, July 11. Britain today protested to the Chinese Nationalist Government over the alleged strafing and bombing of the 1896-ton British freighter Inchwell by two Nationalist jets at the mouth of the Min river, leading to the Communist port of Foochow, on Saturday. British consulate sources reported. Royal Navy headquarters in Hong Kong reported that two Thunderjets on Saturday morning attacked the Inchwell. The ship suffered slight damage to the poop, but no casualties, the Navy said.
Eisenhower Leads Fashion. — President Eisenhower is leading a fashion of pink cap and shirt for golf whicn has touched off a run on supplies. Yesterday Mr Eisenhower w r ore pink for a round with his son, John. Pink became fashionable for men’s wear year. This season mint green is the colour coming into vogue.—Gettysburg, July 10.
