British Protest To Formosa

(Rec. 11 p.m.) TAIPEH, July 11. Britain today protested to the Chinese Nationalist Government over the alleged strafing and bombing of the 1896-ton British freighter Inchwell by two Nationalist jets at the mouth of the Min river, leading to the Communist port of Foochow, on Saturday. British consulate sources reported. Royal Navy headquarters in Hong Kong reported that two Thunderjets on Saturday morning attacked the Inchwell. The ship suffered slight damage to the poop, but no casualties, the Navy said.
