Murder Trial Verdict Of Guilty

(N.Z Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 1.30 a.m.) DUSSELDORF, July 8. A court-martial with seven officer members today found guilty Sergeant Frederick Emmett-Dunne, accused of murdering ■ his German-born wife’s first husband. Sergeant Reginald Watters.

He was sentenced to death. The verdict has to be confirmed by a higher authority. Emmett-Dunne, who is 32. pleaded not guilty, and said that he killed Watters accidentally when he struck him in self-defence’. Watters, in a quarrel over his wife, had threatened him with a gun, accused claimed.
