SECURITY POLICE
Sir, —It is wrong to write that a “police state” is being set up here, and “P.J.A.” knows this perfectly well. He also knows that under a dictatorship, the decent citizen would be arrested without a warrant, and banished and executed without a trial. The civil police would be armed and gunmen posted at the approaches to public buildings, aerodromes, etc. A complete spy system would be set up from children to grandparents. The government would consist of one party only; and there would be no “free” vote. It is also stupid to state that a Communist* can “love his country,” when his love and loyalty are vested in the monstrous Cominform, which is controlled from Russia.—Yours, etc., , , KIWI.
