NO AGREEMENT ON NEW AWARD (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 29. No agreement has been reached on a new award for New Zealand chartered club- employees, which was discussed in conciliation in Wellington today. The New Zealand Hotel and Restaurant Workers* Union is seeking increases in wages to £9 14s lOd a week for steward-barmen, to £8 15s for stewards, and to £4 19s 6d for waitresses. These wages would bring chartered club workers into line with licensed hotel employees. No agreement has been reached between the employers, and Taranaki. Wellington, and Christchurch tramway engineers, who are seeking wage' increaseb io more than 6s an hour. I
