TRUCE BREACHES IN VIETNAM
Commission Continues Investigations (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON. June 25. Charges and counter-charges of breaches of the Vietnam armistice agreement were still under investigation by the International Armistice Supervisory Commission, the third interim report of the commission for Vietnam said today. The report was published by agreement between the British and Soviet governments, whose statesmen were cochairmen. of the 1954 Geneva conference which secured the Indo-China cease fire. The commission, comprising groups from India, Canada, and Poland, reported that local and civil authorities in both North and South Vietnam were to some extent impeding the “implementation of the democratic freedoms” provided for in last year’s Geneva agreement. .J n north, the commission said, the delays were connected with refugee movements and in the south with accusations of reprisals against former resistance workers.” .A mobile team is still investigating the charges and counter-charges in central Vietnam, “where the problem Particularly acute,” the commission added.
