WORKINGMEN’S CLUB The Christchurch Workingmen’s Club Bowling Club elected Mr J. E. Weir a life member at z its annual meeting. Mr Weir is a foundation member of the club and has served on the executive ever since, with the exception of one year. Officers were elected as follows:—patron, Mr J. G. Cumming; president, Mr T. Hogg; vice-president. Mr J. L. Ragg; sec-retary-treasurer, Mr N. S. Wills; auditor, Mr W. Loader; trustees, Messrs Lanyon, Boot and Loader; centre delegate. Mr J. L. Ragg; committee. Messrs A. C. Cam, J. E. Weir, L. T. Booth. R. J. Pitcairn, L. Whittington. F. Carroll, and A. P. Johnson; chairmen of sub-committees: match committee, Mr T. Hogg; entertainment, Mr J. E. Weir; green, Mr A. G. Jones; grounds, Mr J. E. Weir. FENDALTON CLUB The following officers were elected at the eleventh annual meeting of the Fendalton Bowling Club:— President, Mr G. A. Milne; vice-presi-dent, Mr D. B. Wilson; secretary, Mr T F. Smee; treasurer, Mr E. F. L. Hill; auditor. Mr J. Ainger; committee. Messrs C. S. Brebner. H. C. Collett, R. P. Jones, W. Moffat, J. E. Tait; match committee, Messrs R. A. Riecarton Sub-stations.—The tender of B. Moore and Sons for the erection of three electrical sub-stations was accepted by the Riccarton Borough Council last evening. The Wise street station is to be built as soon as posible, the one in Woods’ mill right-of-way when technicalities are completed and the Mandeville street station when finance is available. The same firm’s tender of £925 for a pumphouse in the council yard was also accepted.
