FURTHER TALKS ON THURSDAY FREEZING COMPANIES TO PARTICIPATE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 17. The Minister of Agriculture (Mr K. J. Holyoake) said today that a meeting would be held next Thursday between representatives of the freezing companies and meat operators, and ‘the committee which has been discussing the floor price scheme for meat. The committee, comprising representatives of the Meat Board, Federated Farmers, and the Government, would discuss with the freezing companies and operators’ representatives details of the administration of the scheme, said the Minister. The freezing companies’ and operators’ representatives had not yet taken part in the discussions, he said, but he was confident that they would cooperate in every way possible to facilitate the operation of the scheme.
