MUSIC EXAMINER VISITS N.Z.

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 17. Professor Geoffrey Tankard, professor of music at London University, who arrived in Auckland in the Rangitoto today, is looking forward to playing with the National Orchestra. A pianist, Professor Tankard is here to examine about 300 New Zealand candidates for diplomas of music and two scholarships worth more than £lOOO. The candidates play all kinds of instruments. Professor Tankard will also give lectures, broadcasts and recitals.
