LEVY ON EXOTIC TIMBER
PRINCIPLE OF PAYMENT * APPROVED The principle of the payment of a levy on exotic timber from both State and private forests to the local authority when the timber is milled was approved yesterday in Christchurch by the New Zealand Counties’ Association, when an amended remit to this effect was passed by its conference. The association’s executive was requested to investigate the most satisfactory method of applying the principle.
