CHINESE AUTHOR “PURGED”

The official Chinese Communist newspaper “Peoples Daily” in a leading article broadcast by the Peking Radio demanded the immediate expulsion of Hu Feng, China’s leading author and theorist on Chinese and Russian literature from the Chinese Communist Party. the Chinese National People’s Congress and other organisations. Earlier in a Chinese language broadcast to the nation the radio accused Hu Feng and “a handful of followers” as being “Chiang Kai-shek’s lackeys with close relationships with imperialist groups as well as Chinese Nationalist espionage organisations.”
