BRITAIN AND INDIA WIN TWO MATCHES EACH (N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, June 11. Britain -and India were level, two matches all. when rain postponed their European Zone Davis Cup quarter-final today. Roger Becker beat R. Krishnan, 13-11, 6-3, 6-3, in the first of the two remaining singles matches. Naresh Kumar (India) was leading Tony Mottram (Britain), 6-2, 7-9, 6-4, in the last of the singles when heavy rain put off play until Monday. In Brussels, Philippe Washer and Jackie Brichant (Belgium) beat Luis Ayala and Andres Haminersley (Chile). 6-4, 0-6, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, in their quarter-final. Each side had won a singles match yesterday. In Stockholm, Marcel Bernard and Paul Remy (France) beat Sven Davidsson and Lennart Bergelin (Sweden), 6-4, 5-7, 6-4. 1-6. 6-2. Each country had a win in the singles yesterday. Italy gained a winning lead of 3-0 over Denmark, adding a doubles win to yesterday’s two successes in the singles at Copenhagen. Nicolas Pietrangeli and Orlando Sirola beat Torben Ulrich and Kurt Nielsen, 16-14, 6-3, 6-1.
