FINANCES FOR expedition
PUBLIC APPEAL TO BE MADE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 7. A simultaneous public appeal for financial support for the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition would be launched in London and Wellington, the chairman of the Ross Sea Committee (Mr C. M. Bowden) at the end of tc day’s meeting of the committee. Mr Bowden said the appeal would be launched later this year. No firm date had yet been fixed. The committee discussed some of the preliminary details today.
