PARLIAMENTARY SALARIES
COMMISSION MAY MEET THIS MONTH
(Neto Zealand Press Association) TAURANGA, June 7. No date has yet been set for the sitting of the Royal Commission to inquire into Parliamentary salaries. The chairman of the commission (Mr W. E. Barnard, of Tauranga), who is a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, said today that he was awaiting the gazetting of his appointment before calling the commission together.
It was likely that the commission would meet at the end of June or early in July, he said.
