SHIPPING FOR N.Z. EXPORTS
SUPPLY ASSURED TILL AUGUST
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 7. Shipping for New Zealand produce is assured till the end of July. All vessels due to sail from New Zealand in that month have cleared British ports. -However, if the British dock strike continued for some weeks, the results could be serious for New Zealand, said Wellington exporters today. New Zealand importers fear that the strike will affect their Christmas stocks. They say it is too early to predict the effects of the strike on their goods. “This is a critical time of the year,” said an importer. “Most of us want our Christmas goods shipped in August or, at the latest, in September. It is not only goods from England that are affected, but also those from France, Holland, Western Germany, and Belgium. ” • '
