TRAM RAILS LIFTED IN BUS DEPOT

The tram rails inside the Christchurch Transport Board’s bus depot in Cathedral square were removed yesterday. The rails at the approach to the depot will be taken up* when the rest of Ihe rails in Cathedral square ere lifted. It is not expected that rail-lifting operations in Colombo street will cause any change in the route for the Queen’s Birthday parade through Christchurch on Monday.
