DENMARK BEATS INDIA AT SINGAPORE (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SINGAPORE, June 2. Denmark beat India 6-3 in the Thomas inter-zone badminton final tonight. The two countries had levelled at 2-all last night. In the five matches played tonight Denmark won four. Denmark thus qualified to meet Malaya for the cup in the challenge round on June 4 and 5. Results (Danish names first): — K. Kobbero beat N. Natekar, 8-15, 15-6, 15-10; O. Jensen beat P. Chawle, 15-4. 1814; J. Skaarup beat T. Seth, 15-10, 15-3; O. Eilertsen and O. Mertz lost to G. Hemmedy and M. Guha, 10-15, 15-3, 3-15; K. Kobbero and J. Hansen beat N. Natekar and R. Dongre, 15-8, 15-3.
