BEHAVIOUR AT UNIVERSITY
TWO MEN EXPELLED FROM ABERDEEN
(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, May 18. Two men students were expelled from Aberdeen University today after reports that students had been drinking home-made whisky at all-night pyjama parties. The university authdrities gave no reason for the expulsions, but said the punishment followed investigation* into “certain complaints about behaviour.”
Two other men students have also been punished. One has been refused permission to ro-enter his college and the other “rusticated”—stood down for a certain period. The two expelled are barred from all British universities.
A statement issued by authorities cleared the university’s women students. It said no evidence was found to incriminate them. It added that the authorities were satisfied that the misconduct which had been punished was confined to a very small group of students.
Police have inquired into accusations that students held week-end functions in an otherwise deserted country cottage several miles out of the city.
