Imre Nagy Loses Another Post

(Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON, May 19. Mr Imre Nagy, the deposed Hungarian Prime Minister, has resigned from the Vice-Presidency of the National Council of Patriotic Peoples Front—the main Hungarian political grouping, the Hungarian news agency M.T.L reported. Mr Nagy was deposed from the Prime Ministership and dismissed from the Politbureau of the Hungarian Communist Party six weeks after his public denunciation as a “Right-wing deviationist” and an antiMarxist.

The resignation of Ferenc Janosi from the General Secretaryship of the front, and of Mr Ivan Boldizsar from council membership and the editorship of the front’s newspaper “Magyar Nemzeti” was also announced.
