HALSWELL COUNTY COUNCIL

ELECTION TO FILL TWO VACANCIES An election will be necessary to fill two vacancies on the Halswell County Council, and has been fixed for May 28. The vacancies are for representatives of the No. 2 riding. The former members, Messrs I. D. Crawshaw and J. G. Barclay, resigned after amalgamation of areas in which they lived with the city had deprived them of residential qualifications. Nominations for the two vacancies received by the returning officer (Mrs R. Ballantine) are Messrs J. R. Parish, G. A. Rawstron and E. G. Robertson.
