AUSTRALIANS FIGHT AT HAMILTON (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 25. Bruce Farthing became the unofficial light heavy-weight boxing champion of Australia when he beat another Sydney

boxer, Owen Moase, on points over 12 rounds in the Bledisloe Hall, Hamilton, on Saturday night. Farthing attacked for most of the bout, but Moase evaded most of his punches for the first few rounds, and was ahead on points after six rounds. After that Farthing closed in, and maintained a clear lead until the end. Moase was down for the compulsory count in the ninth round, and was again J floored with body punches in the next, f Farthing was warned three times for y holding.
