Bevan May Return To Party Fold
(Rec. 11.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 25. Mr Aneurin Bevan* has applied for the Parliamentary Labour whip to be restored to him, the political correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” said today. Mr Bevan will see the chief Labour Whip (Mr W. Whiteley) this week and is expected to give a formal assurance of obedience to party discipline.
There was no doubt that Mr Bevan would be back in the Parliamentary Labour Party’s fold by the end of the week, the correspondent added.
