WOON BEATS GLADING FOR TITLE (New Zealand Press Association) HAMILTON, April 12. A former national open champion, R. H. Glading, was beaten 1 down by the present national amateur champion, D. L Woon, in the final of the Hamilton Golf Club’s open Easter tournament. Both men hit prodigious tee shots throughout the tournament. Glading did his final round in 73 and Woon in 74. Glubb, 1 down; Mrs M. Turner, 2 down; Mrs Bell Syer. 3 down. C grade: Mrs W. Sandrey, 5 down. , CULVERDEN CLUB.—Sealed partners’ stroke: A. W. B. McMillan and A. C. Hooper.
